Our pumpkin and squash plants did very well this year. I have been putting pumpkin and squash in everything.
Side note: I made the best butternut squash cookies the other day! 

We love granola. Granola for breakfast, snack or dessert! We eat it like you would regular everyday cereal or we mix it up with yogurt. Granola can be expensive at the store and making it is so easy! I have a recipe that I loosely follow. The best thing about making your own granola is you can play with it and add whatever you have in the cupboard that day.

Butternut and Pumpkin Granola

5 cups oats
3/4 cup flax seed
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup pumpkin or butternut squash puree – I mix them together sometimes
1 Tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

Add ins
cranberries, dried fruit mix, nuts, coconut

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Step one – Mix everything together except the add ins. Stir until well combined. Spread on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Step two – Bake for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Don’t worry if it is slightly moist it will get deliciously crispy as it cools.
